Hi. I’m Elaine. Like you, I’m a recovering perfectionist and people pleaser.

I’ve learned that success isn’t about following other people’s checklists or constantly proving your worth for external validation. It’s about creating your own rules, and being brave enough to listen and understand what your own version of happiness is.

Success is about honoring where you’ve come from while building a future that’s aligned to YOU.

As a proud, first-generation Filipino American, my roots came from resilience and community. My grandparents and father worked in the grapevines of Central California where their sacrifices planted the seeds of my success.

Growing up, I felt the weight of the “American Dream” and was a typical overachiever — straight A’s, 3-time valedictorian, and a gold-medal for rule-follower.

 

When I graduated from the University of California, Irvine (UCI), I dove into grassroots organizing and political fundraising, hitting the pavement and making 300 phone calls per day. In the first campaign I worked in the mid-west, after six months, I rallied 557 volunteers and found my love for building impactful connections. After five years in politics, I pivoted to nonprofit fundraising, where I raised $1 million in student scholarships in just six months.

Over my seven-year career in fundraising as my first business, I raised $11 MILLION 

Raising money for college students remains one of my proudest accomplishments.

After I earned my Master’s in Leadership and Management at the University of La Verne in 2017, I had an epiphany: I was living everyone else’s rules, and not my own. I realized I wanted to help people not just reach their goals but redefine their legacy in a way that feels true to them

And my grandmothers who I grew up with, pictured here, reminded me of the sacrifices made before me so that I can have the privilege of choice. 

I grew up with Nana organizing family parties (my grandma to the right), and Mamang who raised me and my brothers, while my parents went to work (my grandma to the left). We took this picture when I graduated with a Masters of Science in Leadership and Management.

One month after getting my masters, I started my own trauma-informed business and executive career coaching business and got my first three clients.

In 2023, Apple News awarded me as one of the top 5 business coaches, and LA Weekly awarded me as the #1 thought leader.

Today, I’ve had the honor of serving 11,000 clients in 58 different countries. I have 30+ online courses with LinkedIn and 30+ universities including Penn, Duke, John Hopkins, USC and LMU. And I work privately with 13 clients at one time to ensure client results and experience.

I listened to a couple of episodes on her “Color Your Dreams” podcast and immediately scheduled a consultation with her.I knew immediately that Elaine was an amazing career coach, from the time and effort she put into getting to know me, to understanding what I was looking for in career coaching, as well as providing me with valuable resources. And this was all prior to our consultation call! She was so genuine and I could feel that she really wanted to help me. In the 45 minutes that I spoke with Elaine, she listened to my concerns and challenges and provided me with a valuable action plan for taking the next steps towards a career change. I'm glad I found Elaine as my first career coach, she is a very experienced, caring and professional - one of the best career coach ever! I related to Elaine a lot because we both are WOC and currently living in LA, have similar Asian culture backgrounds too. During this coaching program, Elaine is very knowledgeable and always answering my questions so quick even outside her working hours! Elaine has been an incredible coach and mentor for me! I met her when I was first launching my business and was really overwhelmed by all the things to do and think about as an entrepreneur with a holistic hypnotherapy practice. I started working with Elaine at the beginning of 2022 when I was feeling overwhelmed at work and suffering from burnout. Elaine is a gem. She went above and beyond in guiding me towards my goals. The first steps for my particular journey involved analyzing my current client list and identifying patterns in my ideal clients for the purposes of focusing on my marketing efforts into finding those dream clients. After that, she helped me break down my goals into manageable tasks and come up with a plan for the rest of the year in order to reach those goals. The most striking thing about Elaine is how generous she is with her clients - she invited me to her virtual bootcamp and annual retreat, has offered endless resources, provided worksheets with which to challenge myself. She consistently checks in with me on a regular basis, is incredibly personable and has the keenest memory for detail - I honestly don’t know how she remembers everything I tell her! I find that a lot of business coaches seem to focus on the same goal for each client and speak too broadly and generally. They focus on numbers, growth for the sake of growth, and oftentimes promote a culture of toxic positivity. Elaine is not anything like the stereotypical coaches we see on the ads that bombard our feeds. She's personable, an active listener, and great at identifying your needs and what will work for you. Creating a business that is sustainable to my health and happiness is important to me and Elaine has helped me get one step closer to achieving that goal.

Elaine is a very loving, supportive and attentive coach who will give you the tough advice you need and also remind you to value yourself and your time. She gave me amazing business advice that helped me make the income I wanted but was also CONSISTENT. Instead of hitting one 10K month and then burning out, I now feel supported and capable of networking, asking for what I want, and also being realistic about my expectations and seeing what's working. These are all valuable skills not everyone in the business industry touts, but Elaine is excellent in her discernment in helping you also learn to trust yourself and celebrate the highs and lows. I'd 100% recommend her as a coach, mentor, and supporter through these tough times becoming a business owner.
