Are you trying to simplify your business?
I recently decided to end my Aligned Legacy Mastermind, which has been my signature offer for more than four years. Making that decision wasn’t easy, so I want to show you how and why I made it.
When you scroll on social media, everything looks so perfect, so I think it’s valuable for you to see the messy imperfection behind the scenes of my decision-making process. Change doesn’t happen overnight, it takes a lot of thoughtful reflection, planning, and implementation. Making strategic changes while creating a long term, successful business takes immense time and effort, not to mention the right mindset.
Your journey won’t look the same as mine, but I hope this episode reminds you that I’m human too, and we’re all just trying to find our way to create an aligned legacy.
This is a vulnerable episode where I’m sharing what’s been going on over the last few months that led me to end my mastermind, and what I’m focusing on now instead. I want to share my mistakes so you and other business owners can learn from them and maybe also relate to them. Our business processes and journeys are each individual and unique, but we all have something to learn from each other. If my story can help you save time on your own journey, why not share?
Stick around until the end because I’m also sharing the seven questions you should ask yourself as you think about changing your business.
What we cover in this episode:
- Why I decided to end my mastermind
- The evolution of a mastermind program
- Trying to juggle two signature programs
- Focusing on what you enjoy
- Why you should track your client journey
- Being intentional about making changes
- Diversifying your lead generation
- How to decide what to remove from your business
- The value of simplifying
- What reflective questions you should be asking yourself
This is a pretty business-heavy episode, but I hope by getting vulnerable I can help you learn from my mistakes and move toward your aligned legacy.
If you’re feeling burnt out juggling all your offers, social media, staff meetings, phone calls, lead generation, customer service, digital marketing and all the rest that goes into running a small business, it’s likely time to focus on streamlining your business.
Believe me, I understand that initially, cutting out a successful long term program might not seem like a good idea. But sometimes when you want to see your business grow to create the lifestyle you want, you have to prune the parts that aren’t lighting you up anymore.
If you need accountability as you reinvent your business to be aligned with your true self, I want you to apply for the Color Your Dreams Inner Circle. It’s a 12-month 1:1 and group coaching program for coaches and consultants. We have in-person retreats, virtual calls, and a whole community of support. Go to elainelou.com/innercircle to apply.
